Fourth of July Jello Cups
Looking for an easy dessert for your Fourth of July BBQ? Make red, white, & blue Jello cups!
These Jello cups are one of the simplest desserts to make for your next summer gathering. If you’re serving adults, you can top them with my Boozy Vodka Strawberries.
The Jello Cups
I used berry blue Jello because, honestly, it was my only option for blue jello. If you can find a sugar free version or another flavor that you’d like more, feel free to use that instead! I made mine according to the quick-set instructions on the package, but there are so many hacks to swap the cold water with another cold ingredient (clear soda, clear alcohol, etc). I mixed my hot and cold waters into the Jello, then poured the liquid into 8 oz jars.
Boozy Jello Option
If you’re catering to adults, you could add some chilled clear alcohol in place of the water in the recipe. If you’re also using whipped cream vodka for the strawberries, using that (or the drained vodka after you’ve soaked the strawberries, if you can time that right) would be delicious and tie all the flavors together.
The Whipped Cream
I went for maximum easiness for this recipe because chances are you’ll be making a lot of other foods. I’m always a fan of homemade whipped cream, but today I’m using a sugar-free Cool Whip. Feel free to use whatever whipped cream you prefer!
The Strawberries
You need to use fresh strawberries for this recipe. I cut mine into small pieces that would be easy to eat out of the cups I was using. I used my Boozy Vodka Strawberry recipe since I was making them for just me and my husband. They turned out so good!

3/4 cup freshly boiled water

Add the contents of the Jello package and hot water to a heat safe bowl–I used a large measuring cup for easy pouring later. Stir until completely dissolved.

Pour into 4 individual serving cups. Refrigerate for about an hour, until set.
Serve topped with whipped cream and chopped strawberries.
